On the 29th of June 2002 regional social organization "League of women voters of Kaliningrad region" conducted seminar "Gender approach to solving of social problems" in Chernyakhovsk in the frames of the project "Gender expertise of the regional legislation".

For the first time in the Russian history and in the history of the Kurgan Military Institute women pilots were presented to epaulets. Ten women pilots and 14 women engineers completed their studies at the Kurgan Military Institute.
